I’m a creature of habit. As much as I love trying new restaurants, new types of food, and traveling to new places, I have a few regular spots that I keep in heavy rotation. Paladar is one of those.
With really tasty pan-Latino food, potently delicious drinks (such as the pisco sour, above), and a steal of a happy hour, it’s one of my favorite places in the city.
More pics after the jump.
Scallop ceviche with coconut and lime.
Insanely good pork belly tacos with pineapple (bottom plate) and chorizo and potato quesadilla (top plate).
Mussels in a chipotle-tequila broth.
I order this one almost every time: arepas (corn cakes) with duck breast, fig and roasted-onion compote, crema, and watercress.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, free chips with black- and white-bean dipping sauces: necessary for soaking up all of that booze.
